Hi! I’m Alex, and I love weddings.

When I was just a teenager, I knew I was drawn to the hospitality industry. My first jobs were at coffee shops, event spaces, and catering companies, and it was there I learned about the commitment it takes to create a world-class experiences. When I went to college, I decided to pursue a (short, fifteen-ish years) career in the computer science space. I studied and then worked as product manager, an engineer, and a people manager. Working in tech taught me how to manage complex projects with cascading deadlines, how to be super-human levels of organized, and how to communicate clearly and effectively. Tech was great - I still find it super interesting and challenging - but in 2024, I realized it was time to turn my attention to pursuits more human.

Wedding planning was the easy choice, and thus Bienvenue was born in 2025! After planning my own wedding, and helping friends plan theirs, I realized making weddings come to life is how I want to spend my time. I love waking up and getting to talk about flowers, but also getting to think about the less glamorous parts of events like managing rental deliveries, tear down, and budgets. Wedding planning combines the day-to-day logistical skillset I developed in tech with my passion for real-life, real-time events. As someone who’s also done a bunch of community theater and musical shows, I can say one of the things performances and weddings have in common is the rollercoaster feeling. Once it starts, no matter what problems arise… the show must go on!

Your planner should care about your wedding as much as you do. At Bienvenue, we know it’s a great privilege to be at the helm of one of the most important days of your life.

I’m Colorado born-and-raised, East-Coast-educated, a West-Coast-lover, and currently a California girl. I know a good spot when I see it.

Whether it’s an urban landscape, a desert gem, a mountaintop vista, or a forest retreat, my favorite venues blend a sense of place with their own unique characteristics. Wherever you imagine your special day, I guarantee I’ll find the best of it.
